a anime that has my vote of the best ever anime ever is ONE PIECE. its a very long anime now almost 300 episodes long and has no end in sight yet. it has as according to my previous posts explanation of choosing animes some of the best soundtracks n the opening and ending songs are fantastic.

One Piece is a treasure that the old pirate king, Gold Roger, left at the end of the world, and announced to the world on the day he was executed, that all the treasure he has pillage and stolen is left there. so the world went into a phase of pirates.

One piece's main character is Monkey D. Luffy, a kid who ate the rubber devil's fruit and has become a rubber man, who will sink into the ocean like a hammer. he is super powerful and super silly, n never follows plans. he also eats alot. he is the captain of the pirate straw hat crew, that consists of 7 ppl including himself, that changes occasionally in a arch(arch is the term used in long ongoing animes where there is a change or major twist of story n new bad guys appears).

his second recruit in his pirate crew is a swordsman, Zoro. he is a X-bounty hunter. he uses 3 swords to fight, 2 in his hands n the most precious between his teeth. his dream is to be the best swordsman in the whole world. he sleeps a lot, can carry immposibly huge weights, and is 1 of the main fighters in the group.

the 3rd recruit is Nami, the navigator. she is a super class map creator, n can navigate even the most crazy of sea conditions, including whirlpools, waterfalls, and currents that go vertically upwards. she has a addictive and primary love of money. she also loves her family and oranges. she doesnt fight often througout the anime, but when she does its a sight to see.

the 4th is Usopp, the son of a pirate who was a crew member of the pirate captain who once saved luffy's life. he is a sharpshooter, who shoots with a slingshot and crazy almost defying logic bullets. he is also a inventor. he also repairs the ship. he is a scardy cat, and often gets infected with a made up disease(i-have-bad-feeling-of-this-cave disease). above all else he is a liar, and adds a great mix to the whole anime.

the 5th is Sanji, the cook. he is a world class cook that comes out with extravagant, mouth dripping cuisine. he only fights with his legs, as the treasure of a cook are his hands. he is a pure gentleman. he has a strong rivalry with Zoro. he is also one of the main fighters. his number 1 weak spot is girls. he goes all lovey dovey, n head over heels over them, n would never disobey them, and even loves it when Nami whacks him silly.

the 6th is Chopper, the doctor. he is a blue nosed reideer who got kicked out of his tribe for having a blue nose, and he has also eaten a devil fruit that allows him to transform into part human. he is super smart, and a great doctor. he has fought a few times but very seldom as seldom as Nami and Usopp do. when they fight, he fights too. he is very naive and will fall prey to all sorts of obvious lies like Usopp n Luffy. he is also a sucker for compliments. he starts cursing will, behaving that he obviously loves it when given a compliment. he is most of the time in a very cute furry small shape.

then u have a temporary characer Vivi. she starts out as a bad guy who turns good. then she joins the crew for a whole arch, and at the end of the arch she leaves.

then the latest character is Robin, the archeologist. she is a devil fruit user too. she has the power of flowers, and can grow any part of her body on any surface, instantanouesly. she is a major power in the group too, and is a fighter when need, with is more often that Nami, Usopp, n Chopper, but less often than Luffy, Zoro n Sanji. she is cool, and calm mostly.

the whole anime is about their journeys together, growing and chasing after thier dreams, being the next pirate king, the best swordsman, finding the paradise sea, drawing a map of the world, becoming a man of the sea, being the best doctor, or finding the forbidden history.
even though this anime has rather sad graphics, n drawing at its very early episodes, greatly improves and get really to standard later on, n i have nothing to complain in terms of graphics for a very long time now. it is also the one and only anime that has never let me down. it has been following a very action packed road, and there are no long ongoing boring fillers like in other long animes. every episode has only made me want to watch the next. and its almost painful waiting for the next episode. yes its that good.

try it, you wont regret it. its definitely the best ever anime.

due to complains from a few people, (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!) i m gonna right something again. and if this happens to be a long entry TOO BAD.

the book i m gonna recommend is by 1 of my fav authors. she is a children's books author, and NO she is not JK Rowling. she is also a co-founder of sheroes central, the forum where kids, teens, n writers go to talk bout great she-roes of fantasy, fiction, history and in present day life. she is TAMORA PIERCE. the books i m gonna talk about are of her later set. she has been writing since 20+ years ago?

the book is called TRICKSTER'S CHOICE. its sequel is TRICKSTER'S QUEEN. both are wonderful books. the whole series of these 2 books are about this young girl,Aliane(Aly). she is the grand daughter n daughter of the kingdom's spymasters, and the daughter of a living legend, Alanna the Lioness, the first female knight for a very long time. well as u can tell its a spy story but its very very good.

Aly is a flirt, a girl who is so intelligent that all her suitors bore her, n generally she is spoilt. she wants to be a spy for her father, as she was trained in spy business from the cradle. along the way she gets her carried off n end up in a foreign land. then she is visited by the Trickster a god who is fortune, good n bad, n very very mischevious also a patron good of all who deal in espionage(or rather unwanted patron god..hehe). Aly n the Trickster strike a wager of sort, n she gets her wish, she becomes a spy working for a rebellion for the enslaved native ppl of the country. in TRICKSTER'S CHOICE she has to protect the children of the family she is working for, in TRICKSTER'S QUEEN, the conspiracy has gone full blast n its time to crown a queen n dethrone the evil, ruthless n mad regents and the boy king the command, and set the country to rights again.

like any hero, Aly has help and allies, foremost in the form of the Trickster god, Kyprioth, who is more nuisance than anything. then she has alies in the family whom she is to protect, Sarai the eldest daughter, who is wild, emotional, caring, a flirt, a brilliant horsewoman, n talented at the sword; Dove the younger daughter who is the wise, intelligent, n bookish child of the family; and thier parents the duke and Winna who think the Aly is the messenger of the god Mithros(the sun god n whom the "foreigners" worship). Aly also has a very strange aly in Nawat a crow who turned into a man, a very handsome man, who sparks romance in the story, and continuesly offers her "sparklies" and juicy grubs so that Aly will fall in love with him, n have nestlings together.

the world for this book is Tortall the setting is olden time Malaysia, or Indonesia. they have plenty of words that sound similar, like Ombak(the name of a ship), Duan(the name for a old man or boss), Malubesang(name of island), and Luarin(name for foreign ppl of white skin in general). they also mostly dress in sarongs. but there is also a mix of western in it coz the men at arms use longswords and spears etc, n there is a sense of a huge western medival type court n kings n queens, n also western clothing like gowns, breeches, vests, tunics etc.

it is definitely a great read. its full of humor, suspense, and thrill. it will keep u up late at night and it will be very dificult to put in down. its great with all the conspiracy, n how is it not to love a trouble some god? mischief is written all over the place and all the naughty thing Aly does. plus the great kicker of Nawat's attempts will have u rolling and laughing.

to all who fear thick books, i can asure its not a very thick book either and that u will be flipping page after page and not even worry about how thick it is.
